Ice Bear Heating and Cooling

Called because the AC wasn't cooling well. Tech added refrigerant and charged me a good amount, but it started leaking out again within a month. Turns out there was a coil leak they didn't find the first time. Second visit to actually fix it.

We were a bit nervous going in but it turned out great. The furnace was making a horrible grinding noise. Tech came out, found a failing blower motor bearing, and replaced the motor on site. He had common parts on his truck which saved us a second visit. Happy to support a local business.

The thermostat they installed kept losing its WiFi connection. Took three visits before they replaced it with a different model that actually works. A lot of wasted time for everyone.

Update: everything is still holding up great months later. We had a ductless mini-split installed in our sunroom addition. Brilliant solution — heats and cools that room independently. The installation was neat, the line set was routed cleanly, and it works great. Would definitely use again.

We were a bit nervous going in but it turned out great. They replaced our entire HVAC system — furnace, AC, and all ductwork in the crawl space. It was a big job but they finished in two days. The new system is whisper quiet compared to the old one. Highly recommend.
